howdy!

this post is brought to you by my first time shooting with my local lab’s house black and white film - but pushed to 400 because i’m a dummy who didn’t check the film speed :~) i’m looking forward to trying again at a proper 100; i’m feeling myself drifting away from the punchy blacks i’ve been rolling with for a while now. i also finally retired my 10 month old batch of xtol and put together a fresh gallon of d76, and while it’s not my developer of choice, i think it handled my medium format tmax 400 further down in this post with far more grace.

a couple shots on film from the take back the beach show

thank you gallery’s new exhibition space has me really excited for future shows they have in store!

christening the concrete with complimentary wine

a really wonderful gentleman in a nasa polo was letting onlookers peak through his telescope that was pointed at various planets - absolutely surreal seeing saturn’s rings!

hannah’s birthday, last pool hop of the summer.

went for ramen and the boys compared keyboards in the parking lot

labor day cookout, another last hoorah for the summer bbqs

da baby

here’s a few photos from a trip to yorktown with my pal abdul, where he shot his very first roll of film (yet to be processed, but soon!)

also, it’s been a second since i’ve loaded 120 in my tank and my frustration is evident in these photos. while i’m grateful my impatience only affected a third of the roll, of course the photograph i was most looking forward to printing is botched. i’m not completely heartbroken since these fuckups are interesting in their own way, but it’s still a bummer and lesson learned.

rip my lil blair witch lookin tree

there’s a family of deer in this photo if you look hard enough!

and lastly, a couple to finish off the roll. halloween season is in full swing and i don’t want november to come.

till next time xoxo
